ABOUT OUR GRAMPY

Hi! We are Matteo (the big guy) and Emilio (the other guy).

Tata Phill is our grampa and he is the one who built this site (with a lot of help from his friends at someplace he calls Sitesell, whatever that is.). We will tell you a few things about Tata.

He and Grammy Eva live far away (from us) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. They like it there a lot, but they still like to go back to Chicago where they lived for many, many years. Tata says he was in real estate there. When I asked Mommy what real estate was she said , “houses”. Well, we live in a house so I guess that means Mimi & I are in real estate, too. (Mimi is what I call my little brother.)

In Chicago, Tata would get up in the mornings very early so that he could shower and shave and put on his suit and his tie (he didn’t like ties so in most of the pictures of him that we have seen his tie is very loose). Then he would either drive for a long, long time to get to his office or take a long train ride to get there.

Now Tata still gets up very early but he only has to walk down the hall from his bedroom to his office (he and Grammy have their own business lending money to people so they can buy a house - then they'll be in real estate, too).

And if he wants to he can stay in his pj’s all day long. But he doesn’t because he likes to walk for a long time every morning and the people would laugh at him if he walked in his pj’s.

He says that walking is his second favorite exercise. His favorite, like ours, is eating. But he’s such a fussy guy about what he eats that he makes almost all the food for Grammy and him. And Grammy, who is a real good cooker, too, is happy to let him because he cooks good stuff. Guess that was why Tata decided to make a website all about good food.

And now his third favorite exercise is pecking like a chicken at the keys of his computer. Tata and Grammy will come to visit us in California soon, and he will bring his office with them – he calls his office,“laptop”; isn’t that a funny name?
